Installation and Configuration of a New Internal Hard Drive in a Windows 10 Environment
This document provides a standard operating procedure for physically installing a new SATA or NVMe internal hard drive into a desktop computer and preparing it for use within the Windows 10 operating system.

Open File Explorer ( Win + E ). The new drive should appear under "This PC" with the assigned letter and full capacity listed. Troubleshooting Table
The new hard drive is now installed, partitioned, formatted, and ready for use in Windows 10. For primary OS replacement, follow Microsoft’s Media Creation Tool guide instead of Part 2.
