Enter Jaden Yuki (Judai Yuki) , a spirited, optimistic young duelist who lives and breathes the game. Unlike the brooding, strategic Yugi Muto, Jaden is all instinct and heart—often sacrificing strategy for a fun, flashy play.
Jaden is traveling to the prestigious (Duel Academia), an elite boarding school on a remote island, after receiving a unique “special admission” invitation. On the boat ride over, he meets his future best friend Syrus Truesdale (Sho Marufuji) , a timid and nervous duelist who is constantly overshadowed by his legendary older brother, Zane (Ryo Marufuji).
