That day, nobody died — at least not in my street. But nobody laughed either. Not really.

The mask was on the table by the keys. The hand sanitizer, half-empty, stood guard by the door. Outside, the world held its breath. Inside, a screen glowed — work, news, silence. um dia qualquer 2020

Dinner was whatever was left in the fridge. Zoom called. We said we were fine. We weren't lying. We weren't telling the truth. That day, nobody died — at least not in my street
