A carriage of the Sheriff’s tax collectors rolls through a misty glade. An arrow slices through the fog—not Robin’s signature black-fletched shaft, but a white-feathered one. The men fall. A hooded figure drops from the oaks, loots the gold, and carves a crude “R” into the carriage door. Cut to: Robin’s camp. Robin, John, and Much investigate the latest kill. The arrowhead is Crusader-forged, Saracen steel—rare. Only someone who fought alongside Robin would have it. Meanwhile, Marian (disguised as the Night Watchman) follows a trail of blood into the catacombs beneath Nottingham. There, she finds a woman stitching a wound— Lady Ashworth (guest star Jodhi May ), a former noblewoman who lost her lands and family when King Richard levied war taxes. Ashworth reveals she was left behind at Acre, presumed dead, after Robin’s company abandoned a breached wall. “You were my captain,” she whispers. “You rode away while I held the gate.” Now let her draw him out of the forest
