They emerge in "The x265 Realm"—a grey void filled with pixelated clones of every character from every movie, show, and YouTube poop ever re-encoded. A swarm of half-rendered Jerry clones (from Couch Potato episode) and Summer-as-Alien-Queen hybrids attack them. The villain appears: The Encoder , a hooded figure made of H.264 blocking artifacts, who wants to compress all of reality into a single 700MB .mkv file.
Rick defeats The Encoder by re-encoding him as a GIF —looping endlessly, no sound, 256 colors max. The T-rex, now calm, becomes the family pet (until it eats Mr. Poopybutthole in a post-credits scene).
