The challenge: "The Chamber of Mirrors." Each celebrity was locked in a reflective box filled with snakes and their own recorded failures (movie clips, mean tweets, courtroom losses). The first to escape could use the BD9 medallion to send someone straight to the final public vote.

Why? Because after all the backstabbing, the tears, and the stolen pizza, Kai was the only one who, on Day 17, gave his last mouthful of rice to the disgraced news anchor—who had been ostracized by everyone else. The camera caught it. No medallion. No truth. Just rice.

That night, Kai won a pizza for the camp by completing a height trial. As Kai took his first bite, Maverick stood up, held up the medallion, and announced: "BD9 says I’m taking that pizza. And here’s my truth: Kai faked his anxiety attack during the first trial to get out of doing dishes."

On Day 3, after a rainstorm flooded their hammocks, Maverick found the medallion wrapped in a crocodile skull during a gross food trial ("Kangaroo anus and fermented spider eggs"). He pocketed it, smiling.

Season 09 BD9 was finally aired after legal battles. Viewers watched the cruelty unfold in real time—and they were disgusted. Not at the medallion. At the celebrities.

But the damage was done. The producers, horrified, cut the feed for 47 minutes. When they returned, Bernie was gone. An official statement said she "withdrew for personal reasons."
