Type list volume to see all partitions. Identify the correct volume letter.

Note: Omit quick for a full format (much slower). Available in recent Windows 10 versions.

Click Format . Choose a label, file system (NTFS or exFAT), and check Quick format .

Type list disk and press Enter. Note the disk number of your target drive by size. Type list volume to see all partitions

Open File Explorer (Windows key + E).

Type select disk X (replace X with your disk number). Example: select disk 2 file system (NTFS or exFAT)

Select Format… from the context menu.
