When you unblock someone, Instagram does not automatically refollow them. If you want to see their posts in your feed again, you will need to visit their profile and tap Follow again. Also, unblocking does not restore any direct message history that was deleted during the block.
Type their username into the search bar.

Tap the search icon (magnifying glass) at the bottom of the Instagram app.

Go to instagram.com in your web browser and log in.
Scroll down and tap Blocked (this is usually under the "Audience and visibility" or "Privacy" section). Type their username into the search bar
When their profile appears, tap on it. You will see a message that says "You've blocked this user" along with an Unblock button.
